I mean. A good strong mustard will clear the sinuses right quick.
I'm a fan of horseradish and wasabi when you need to clear those sinuses. When you get enough of either that your scalp starts tingling, you know you're in business!

I assume we're talking about good mustard, not the baby-crap-looking, yellow stuff.

The baby crap is the only mustard for a depression dog or Chicago dog.

Gonna get me a couple of DD's tomorrow, so long as I'm here... Italian beef on Saturday for game time.

Yella mustard is just as childish a condiment as ketchup.

Hell yes!

I’m going to assume you have had the jumbo shrimp cocktail at Saint Elmo’s steakhouse in Indianapolis?    It’s always fun taking people in there, ordering that, and not giving them a warning.

Speaking of Elmos.   They were quite fastidious in their desire to keep from bottling their sauce for retail consumption, as the potency of horseradish in cocktail sauce begins to degrade fairly quickly after it is made.  I typically walk in there and buy a fresh pint or quart for parties.

Apparently since bottling it at Costco and now elsewhere,  it's seen significant market share.   They also have bourbon and colas now.  Pretty great brand to market of course.  I still prefer to buy it fresh for immediate consumption.   Even a good jar of horseradish sauce doesn't maintain that kick after a week or two.

Btw: yellow mustard still the best adhesive for any meat rub for smoking.

agreed that there are better more flavorful mustards than yeller, but comparing any mustard to ketchup is nonsense
