After watching the replay in slow mo....Gentry should’ve had that. He’s pushing 6’8 and the ball hit him right in both hands. He has to make that catch.

You get two hands on it, you catch it. No excuse. Not like he had to readjust or twist his body. It was a straight up jump ball that he had two hands on. Just go up and snatch it. You want to play in the NFL? That’s the type of catch you have to prove you can make.

I will admit though that Patterson struggles a lot more with sitting in the pocket and being asked to execute normal timing passes. But still, that's a relative thing. I think we should in general be very comfortable with his comp%.

Absolutely the kind of play a QB is blamed for. Broken play and he fires it into heavy traffic. Terrible decision and led to an INT.
Please.
Ball hit Gentry in BOTH hands. Right in the hands. Accurately. He didn’t have to readjust or controt his body in a crazy position to try and make an impossible catch.
Gentry is 6’8. And all he had to do was jump a little bit straight up for a ball that hit him in both hands. AND he dropped it. Let it slip right through his fingers into the hands of a defender.
That’s 100% on Gentry. Unbelievably nice play by Patterson to escape pressure run to his left and throw an accurate ball.
Unbelievably bad play by Gentry to get both hands on it and not catch it. PERIOD.

This isn’t the nfl, this is college football and you don’t throw into the middle of traffic. Excuses abound when the messiah makes a poor decision.

The second DB needed the deflection to have enough time to get to the ball. So calling it traffic is a bit misleading. Patterson had his largest receiver 1-on-1 and hit him right in the hands. It was a good idea and pass. Didn't work out for other reasons. In other news our ~70% comp% QB is at 8/13 and ~10YPA today. Now that the tackles are developing and functional, the passing game's issues aren't personnel. The pieces to be prolific are there. But this isn't that kind of playbook. It's all play action and roll outs. So we're both frustrated about the pass O but whereas you're after Shea, I'm after the structure that Harbaugh prefers. It feels so self-limiting.

You are ridiculous.
It was not a poor decision or a throw into traffic. Go watch the replay.
Gentry beat his defender and came back to the ball. He got both hands on it and HE dropped it. Ball bounced off his hands and flew into the hands of a safety who was yards behind him.
It wasn’t a bad throw. It wasn’t into traffic. It wasn’t tipped. It was a fluke play for that defense and a really bad play by Gentry. Period.
At this level- at Michigan- YOU HAVE to catch that ball. It was a routine catch that Gentry flubbed. PERIOD. That’s not an excuse that’s just a fact homie.

Finally a hold call for the defense!

Dwumfour shaken up. Not good. Inside DL one spot they can’t afford injury at right now.

And Brian Griese sucks. He sucked in the NFL and he sucks as a commentator. So does that fat Sportscenter reject he’s with. At least he’s not Pam Ward though. Wish Tony Romo called college games too.

I love when people post PERIOD. As if you add that it makes your statement irrefutable.

There were three defenders within 5 yards or the pass and a DB tightly covering the TE. In my book, that’s traffic. My opinion is my opinion and it’s ok to have one that’s different, homies.

It's better when the conversation is nice. We're all friends here. The opinions matter less.

Warde must have sent that chart to Rosemont.

I'll beat Super to it. That throw? Definitely 100% on Shea.
