O-line is the single biggest difference in Texas' recent success. Before 2022, the last time Texas had an offensive line that didn't completely suck, was 2006. The last time it had an offensive line that was actually good, was 2005.
For the last several years under Mack Brown, and then all years of Charlie Strong and Tom Herman, Texas was evaluating talent poorly, and developing talent even worse. What few blue chips were coming, were being completely wasted. I actually felt sorry for them, any time a decent prospect committed to us.
But now the evaluation is much better, and the development is off the charts excellent. Sure hope we can keep the momentum going forward, I know many of you share my opinion that o-line is the most important position group on the field.
