Yes, College Football is even more of a stacked system now and another way to look at it is from the perspective of the helmet schools shoring up weaknesses. I think it was @CincyDawg pointing out a few weeks ago that the Preseason Top 5 teams typically had a weakness or two somewhere on their otherwise strong depth charts. Maybe a lack of experience in the secondary, maybe a thin OL, maybe a backup was needed behind an injury prone RB? 

Now, thanks to the transfer portal, it’s very easy for a helmet to farm for fixes from across the rosters of the have-nots. So, now the usual preseason Top 5s might very well have no weaknesses across the roster. A more stacked system indeed.

Jayden Daniels becomes a completely different QB when he has to throw from the pocket and can’t use his legs. 

LSU has actually had a bit of a run game going. FSU hasn’t been able to run at all. Yet they are up 2 TDs. And that’s the difference between having a guy who can pass the ball and a guy who can’t.

FSU has skullfcked LSU and Brian Kelly this 2nd half. Sheesh. Kelly’s face looks more purple than the lsu Unis right now.

YES - in a very queer way some programs have turned into feeders for the Blue Bloods. Who in turn are feeders to the League, well there is always High School ball - if they're not already sitting it out. What's next Pop Warner Football?SMDH

I'm very curious to see how Wisconsin traverses the new landscape.  Money isn't just spent on coaching and facilities, its on NIL.  UM, OSU and PSU have unlimited resources.  They can spend on both if they want to.  Granted, I think they will trend spending towards football.  MSU, IU and Purdue should rightfully put NIL money towards basketball, because all 3 have limited resources, and more care and clout in basketball.

Wisconsin is the weird one in the middle.  They were above only Northwestern for a long time, but then fixed it, in both sports, kind of equally.  Football generates more income, but its easier to be good in basketball.  Feels like Wisconsin is #4 in both sports in terms of how much emphasis they put on it

Yeah, it takes Wisconsin a few years to develop those gigantic O-linemen to where they are game ready, so now you can just wait for them to do that and then poach 'em.
