At least this time I created a dedicated thread for it.  These B1G folk get all antsy when we stray off topic on the important "Who should play 4th string TE for Illinois?" type of threads.

An egg McMuffin is a sandwich, so is a ham biscuit.

So is plywood.

Made in any of the splendid ways does it really matter what you call it. Even I don't eat them over the sink - need a plate for all of the good stuff that falls off

Ain't nobody got time for an ad-riddled slideshow like that, my man.

I did just think of another compelling question, though: Is a sausage wrap, a taco?

For those not familiar, down here in Texico it's not uncommon for a BBQ restaurant to serve you a link of smoked sausage, wrapped in a flour tortilla.  You could throw on some mustard like a hot dog, or some BBQ sauce, or even some salsa picante in true Mexican fashion.

Since it's a filling in a tortilla, it meets my own technical definition of a taco.  But if someone said, "Hey I'm bringing home tacos for dinner" and then they showed up with sausage wraps, I'd still eat it and still enjoy it, but I would be surprised and confused.

Still a burger, but only as a special case. It's taking a food that is defined as having a certain ingredient on the top and bottom and replacing it to fulfill a dietary purpose that you can't fulfill with the original product.

I can say as someone that back in the day did Atkins and ordered my share of double-doubles "protein style", it wasn't a selection I would have taken if I wasn't on a self-imposed dietary restriction. Now that I'm not doing low-carb, I *never* order it like that.
