“spaghetti sandwiches” mentioned on the B12 board
I've made them.  I've also made lasagna sandwiches, enchilada sandwiches, and a lot of other things I'm not particularly proud of.

Hey man, I haven't been to Philadelphia in forever.  Let's go to Geno's and get a Philly cheesesteak sandwich!

Uh, why?  Geno's doesn't make sandwiches.

Who the hell says that? No one who actually eats sandwiches. They may say "let's get a cheesesteak" but if someone says "let's get a Philly cheesesteak sandwich" they have clearly been taken over by pod people.

So you are declaring that a Philly cheeseteak is not a sandwich.

Bold move, Cotten.

A Philly cheesesteak is a Philly cheesesteak. Come on brother it's right there in the name.

That said, it is very close. Cooked and chopped ribeye, either provolone or cheese whiz, and grilled onions. The only difference is like many subs it is on a mini loaf as opposed to being sliced from a regular loaf. So no one will judge you by incorrectly calling it a sandwich.

A cheesesteak sandwich is a sub and a sub is not a sandwich.

You have finally embraced the truth, and the light, and aren't going around looking silly serving people quesadillas when they ask for a sandwich. Go and sin no more.

I've put leftover Thanksgiving turkey on a pizza slice.
You know what that's called?

I ate a tomato sandwich over the weekend.

And a meatloaf sandwich 2 weeks ago.

No shame.
