Iowa (2-0) vs. Northern Iowa (0-1) Game Week

What do you say about this one?

UNI rallied from a 26-0 halftime deficit, only to lose 26-23 at Montana last week.

Iowa owns wins over NIU 33-7, and over Iowa State 13-3.

UNI was 16-42-1 in passing for 164 yards. UNI had a net 104 yards rushing (gross rushing 134 yards, less 30 yards lost). UNI's offense should be within the Iowa defense's wheelhouse.

Iowa plays Wisconsin in Week 4. Nice to have an FCS team scheduled the week before #5 comes to town.

In 2007 UNI beat a Cyclone team that went onto win the CyHawk the following week.

So you never know.

The Panthers haven't taken down the Hawkeyes since 1898 though. So there's that.

About 8-years ago UNI lined up for a field goal I think on 3rd down with time running out. The kick was blocked. Iowa's defense was confused what to do with the ball rolling around past the line of scrimmage and a UNI player covers up the ball.

It is UNI ball and with 1 second on the clock UNI attempts a 2nd kick for the win with time now really running out, and I think it was blocked too. It missed at any rate.

Iowa fans know what can happen. UNI nearly beat Wisconsin a few years ago. If you like heart attacks, UNI should consider scheduling Ohio State.
