Gabbard Claims Obama Admin Manufactured 2016 Russian Interference Narrative in New Report | AllSides

I haven't looked into this much, but was any of this illegal if it happened?

What specific law was broken?  And by whom?

While DNI Gabbard’s description of it as a “treasonous conspiracy” intended to “overthrow the will of the American people” is totally accurate it’ll not fly a treason as defined in the US Constitution.  It’s up to AG Bondi how to charge and prosecute Obama, Biden, Clapper, Brendan, McCabe, and others.  Don’t think they’ll be able to sleaze their way out of it this time.

People will call this political retribution, and I’m sure there’s some satisfaction to be had by some over any prosecution.  But it should be a non-partisan issue if in fact Obama did what DNI Gabbard says he did.

My guess is nothing comes of it beyond a small media flurry or three.  Indictments?  I don't think so.

Maybe there is a crime in there somewhere.

Reads like kicking up some dust for the sake of headlines.

It does seem odd to say the Russia thing led to the impeachments, but I guess you gotta use the rhetorical bullets you have.

Oh, I think we'll see indictments and prosecutions.

Indictments for what specific crime?  I don't know.

Looks like dirty tricks to me, I don't know of a Federal crime they committed.

sure, that end in nothing as per usual

time, money, & energy wasted top give the media something to follow

Obama isn't going to jail - perhaps some nobody from his staff is a scapegoat and takes a fall

No I don't think gerrymandering is good or at least fine.

I just don't believe that your view of a "gerrymandered" map, and a conservative's view of the exact same map, are going to result in the same conclusion.  Regardless of how objective either of you believe yourselves to be.

And so it goes, and so it goes.
We went from saying it wasn’t scientifically definable to acknowledging that it exists, but we just can’t be agreeable enough to do anything about it?

For that middle part, I don’t think you’re correct. I’d certainly say multiple blue states are gerrymandered. If one believes in the existence of that sort of thing. Maybe conservatives would disagree about those.

I saw once a geometric definition of a gerrymandered district, it seemed useful potentially.

Yup it definitely could be.

It's gotta be more than, "this is a red state and that district seems overly blue" or whatever.
