Somebody from Louisana talking trash about trailer parks ?  🤔

But our trailer parks are very high class with close proximity to crawfish farms, and no meth-cooking on Sundays.

Actually, when I worked in College Station, I don't recall many, if any, trailer parks.  Not that I drove around looking for them, but the living accommodations away from campus all seemed to be apartments or suburban neighborhoods.  I never saw many trailer parks there, or the greater Austin area.  They seem more common in SETX and Louisiana, but I don't know if that's actually the case.

I almost bought a rental home in College Station in 2005/06.  I really wish I'd have done it.  College Station had recently experienced a big bump in population, and some people thought the bubble was over and getting in various investments in the area was too late.  I predicted the area was only just getting started, and compared to what was there when I worked there, I was right.  I haven't checked property values, but I bet they've skyrocketed.

But do you have the stomach for rental property?  It's not as easy as they make out.

I wouldn't have managed it myself.  Plenty of property management companies around for that.

I don't mind a rental property if the renters are properly vetted and I live nearby.  When I first moved to Texas I owned a place back home in Louisiana I sold owner-financed, which was fine when I still lived there, and turned into a royal headache when I moved.

My daughter lives in Vancouver and has rental property in Columbus, OH.  She used to have two, now just one.  She says it works out fine for her, uses a service.  The rent pays the mortgage, the service, and leaves her a few hundred a month.

She likely can win a primary over lesser known candidates and then get slaughtered in the general.

She's the AOC of the Right to me, really worse I think.

I'd say worse because she's actually smart.
