I saw some "news" about folks having problems getting "REAL ID".  I thought by now it would be a done deal for nearly everyone.

The CLEAR thing works pretty well here, for us anyway.

We got it when we moved here in 2018, my recollection is the fee for a DL was very nominal.  $32 for 8 years, I looked it up.

Illinois and Florida did not. Florida does not give you a choice. It's Real ID or nothing. Illinois gives you a choice, of course.
