yeah, no. this is nonsense. if you want to say that bullshit then cool, and by that standard then Israel is a lunatic terrorist state committing a genocide/ethnic cleansing funded by the United States.

Yemen did not start to blockade Israeli ships until Netanyahu refused to abide by the ceasefire he agreed to. Plain and simple. Cut and dry. This does not give the US the right to just start bombing Yemen.
Agree to disagree.

To me this has nothing to do with Isreal and everything to do with the Houthi's sending missiles and drones at our warships.

Lolwut? well it may feel that way to you…but you’re wrong.

it has everything to do with Israel. Yemen has said repeatedly for months that they will begin to blockade Israeli ships if Israel reneges on the ceasefire. Israel reneged on the ceasefire, hence their blockade.

This has nothing to do with the US. Read JD Vance’s own messages from the leaked signal chat where he’s basically questioning why we’re even bombing Yemen and that less than 3% of our trade flows through those waters.

we’re spending hundreds of millions of dollars bombing Yemen- one of the poorest countries on earth- why again? Oh yeah for Israel and Europe. That’s definitely America First!  Not.

@SFBadger96

Have you ever read Gorsuch's "A Republic, If You Can Keep It?"  I've thought off and on about getting it for a couple of years, and I wondered if you've read it, and if you think it's a good read if so.  Not necessarily asking if you agree with his takes, only if you happen to know if he presents his thoughts well and if there's value in spending my time on it.  Unfortunately, I currently have very little time for reading.

I have not, but he's a smart guy and I'm sure he presents his arguments well. Also, I think it is more of a civics overview than necessarily pushing his judicial/political philosophy (although I'm sure that it contains plenty of that as well). I've heard, generally, that it is a worthwhile read.

We are officially post-hypocrisy.

I honestly believe enough people don't know what it means, and so they don't care if they're accused of it.

These aren't the war plans you're looking for.  Move along, move along.

That's a play-by-play, not a plan.

I mainly would want it for his civics overview.  Not sure when I'll get around to it, but I think I'll go ahead and pick it up and add it to the pile of books I'm behind on.

I've got like 20 non-fiction topics of interest I'm backlogged on, plus rtf4, brad and some others have given me some fiction series I want to read also.  Ol' Gorsuch will have to wait a while, but I'm gonna put him in the cue.

I'm gonna.  Had it on my Amazon wish list for a while, just haven't pulled the trigger.  I'm so far behind.....when I went back to school my reading time went to zero and I haven't gotten back in the groove, yet I kept buying books at my usual pace.

Ah well, time to build a new bookcase, stick it in whatever place the missus finds least objectionable, and just keep piling 'em up :)
