People got fired for being unvaccinated, not for not wearing masks. Vaccination requirements have been a thing for generations. I was fine with it in the moment, hell Trump promoted that he was behind Operation Warp Speed. In retrospect it was wrong. I'm comfortable admitting I was wrong about my feeling about the "vaccinations"

Any protest that breaks laws would be an illegal protest. For example the on-campus protests where protestors set up overnight encampments in areas where overnight camping is illegal, would be illegal protests. Etc.

The Occupy movement took over the nice public area across the street from my office, where I ate my lunch. That first job out of law school was miserable, and eating lunch in that green space was my one respite. Even once they cleared them out, everything was dead. The partners who drank their lunch upstairs were unaffected, and us <$40k 1st years who could even pay off our loans with our salaries lost the one enjoyable portion of our day. I was turned off to a good bit of protests when I realized right there that they had put zero effort into who they were actually impacting. I'm fine with being performative, but they were so out of touch that their performance literally only impacted people who might have been sympathetic. They occupied the area where young non-partner track associates, secretaries and other support staff ate their lunch

Why would you say that? This is exactly what you've been saying you wanted-- USA to stop protecting Europe, and Europe to protect itself. That was inevitably going to mean French and British nuclear weapons as an umbrella for the non-nuclear countries on the continent. I'll be surprised if Germany doesn't begin fast-tracking a nuclear weapons program of its own.

This is the direct and unavoidable result of any US move toward isolationist policies. Nuclear proliferation is what was bound to occur if the US removed its promises of protection to allies.

I say that because Europe doesn't matter anymore. The future is all about Asia and the Pacific. Europe is a diseased and dying continent- it has a 2,000 year history of constant never ending war, and I don't trust the Eurotrash with nukes that could wipe out the entire human race and kill us all.

These MFs really tryna drag us into WWIII. Which is fine, but they can go at it themselves, without nukes preferably.

I am not promoting American imperialism and control in Europe. I am promoting taking nukes away from France and the UK. Who only have them because the US gave them to them/helped them develop them in the first place. It was different story if they had them when they were obedient- now they are acting like the petulant children they are- time to take the toys away.

And for the record- the CIA and the State Department interferring in other countries internal political affairs by rigging elections and overthrowing governments (sup Ukraine) is actually really fucking bad and dangerous and creates blowback that winds up biting us in the ass later down the road- but that is a completely separate and unrelated thing to this specific topic at hand.

When the US is footing the bill for their security and has been doing so for like the last 80 years and they are being openly defiant and going against us- yeah, it's gonna piss me off. Should piss anyone off.

They are fine and dandy to go on their own if they wish- but give us back the nukes we gave you first please. Thanks.

I doubt France, UK, and Germany really need nukes to combat Russia

Russia can't even run over Ukraine

a bunch of air power and conventional missiles/artillery could subdue Russia
