One of my snowflake nieces got the axe. She had a cush job in the Department of State, doing mostly nothing.

It was a job she was handed as the result of being a volunteer for the Biden campaign.

She not once reported to the office, and she had zero responsibilities. She was paid to do nothing - because she doesn't know how to do anything.

She is not hirable. Good thing she's a trust fund brat, I guess.

Only roughly 21% of the federal government works in DC.  DC votes reliably blue, as do most large urban areas

Excuse me, but just because you work for the government does not mean you’re entitled to that job for life. In the real world people lose their jobs every single day. It’s a fact of life.

The US federal government has almost 500 agencies- many of which are completely corrupted by a permanent unelected elitist bureaucracy while simultaneously having become captured by the corporations said agencies were intended to regulate or watch over. The US federal government has literally wasted trillions of dollars on mindless pointless needless wars & funding of proxy wars which have made it’s citizens and the world at large less safe. The US federal government has military bases on almost every nation on earth. We flat out cannot afford the permanent bureaucracy or the endless war machine anymore. We are literally broke. The US gov’t is $36 trillion dollars in debt and the interest payments on it’s debt are now in excess of a trillion dollars a year. The US government is a bloated monstrosity with waste & fraud just about everywhere. It is in desperate need of modernization, a massive reduction in scale, elimination of redundancies, & to maximize efficiencies anywhere and everywhere it can.

Anyone who doesn’t understand this is well, a moron. No offense.

Yep, and take a look at the counties across the river, in Virginia.

There were 326K votes cast in DC. There are 3 MILLION Federal employees.
