The "System: very rarely changes, and then by Amendments or major court decisions and perhaps legislation of note (that is more rare).  The "System" is largely what we've had for 60 years or more, and in my view, it's broken, rather badly, but the country will muddle long for quite a while longer with massive deficits and debt, which at some point is not sustainable.

The country probably will be at a precarious point someday and an "event" will happen, a pandemic, a major war, a computer hack, and it will collapse.  I hope it's well into the future.

a very one sided civil war

Sigh.

Yes, if large swaths of empty land gives one side a big edge, I guess you're technically right.

Read a book.

What in your view would constitute a "noncaveman reply"?  I already posted my own opinion about The System.

What sort of reply are you seeking here?  Would it make you feel better somehow if most posters here made a noncaveman reply?
Not sure what this has to do with you, as I quoted badge's post.  Why do you even feel the need to interject here?

Anyway, we're talking about a systematic problem/failure, and he's posting an obviously near-sighted politically-slanted photo suggesting it's one party's poor candidate that's the problem.

He's better than that.  Maybe having an actual conversation, AS YOU ARE, would be better than a snarky dig at a candidate that already lost.  I expect Badge to bring something to the table.  How dare I.

I notice how when called out on something, OAM goes into attempting to distract and bring up some unrelated topic, every time.

I suppose it's the best he can do, a sort of "caveman response".

The system makes needed corrections from time to time
That's not the system, that's the fickleness of the masses.

I find it obvious today that the masses no longer feel that it matters who our president is.  Just pick who you and yours prefer, without being able to city any measurable or demonstrable reason why.  In one sense, it's a tribute to the SYSTEM, that it's idiot-proof.  But many would deem it unwise to repeatedly test a system just because it passed 1 previous test.

I'm no longer passionate about it.  It is what it is.  I've always had a low opinion of the masses, and we deserve the outcomes we create.  Millions of people choose, over and over again, to vote against their own self-interests, and that's just how it is.

We deserve it all.  I'm not interested in complaining that we're bleeding after cutting ourselves on purpose.

Please quote an example.  I have no earthly clue what you're talking about here.

We are precisely agreeing in the last 2 pages of posts, yet you're posting this.  Cite the inspiration for this post or kindly FUCK right off.

The masses get what they deserve.  That's all my post said.  We don't give a shit about honesty or decency, especially the evangelical christians.  We all just want to be placated.  Care about us enough to placate us, and we'll do what you want us to do.  Nothing more.

Pretend to work at McDonalds.  Drive up in a garbage truck.  And then seat the 6 richest humans at your inauguration.  It's a joke.  And we deserve it.

especially the evangelical Christians???  Any other groups you'd like to single out?

the 6 richest humans have always had more influence than others, regardless of where they sit.

Excusing his actions is despicable.  Congrats.  Just excuse it all away, as if he's not a garbage human being in the highest office in the world.

Exhibit A on why we deserve what we get.

I can't fathom a group of more hypocritical people.
They cared if a candidate was ethical or even pretended to be.  Until they didn't.
They cared if a candidate got divorced.  Until they didn't.
They cared if a candidate was a philanderer.  Until they didn't.
They cared if a candidate was a christian.  Until they didn't.

They are the sickest joke of all.
Pretend, Donald.  Pretend you're one of us.  Pretend for 5 minutes, Donald.  Then we'll all turn a blind eye to the many once-mattering fiery bloody red flags you possess.  We'll forgive it all.  Just make us feel seen, Donald.
"Timothy 2" placation of the evangelicals.
It might be THE most pathetic political stuns of all time.  And that's saying something.

Saying things like that didn't work out very well for those who said it.

OK, glad you re-opened this one.  I'm not going to try to get overtly political, but I don't see how you can discuss everyday things without at least a little politics.
