Roasted tomato halves are common in France.  In the UK I see pork and beans.  All at petite dejunier.

Ed Zachery

diced tomatoes in my salsa for breakfast
Yup, LOTS of that.  Salsa goes great on migas, or scrambled eggs con chorizo, or breakfast tacos.

Beans on toast is a UK breakfast thing.  I've never had it but I'm sure it's fine.

Roasted tomatoes are popular throughout Europe based on my experiences.

They are on the cruise ship menu and buffet every day.

And cold cuts/cheese.

In Lisbon, Italy and Spain, only the "American Breakfast" had eggs.

Yeah many of the places I've been in Europe have cold cuts and thinly sliced cheese, and an orange drink that tastes like really weak Tang, as their common breakfast items.

I'd rather go to Mexico for breakfast

Italians don't generally eat much breakfast. Cappuccino, maybe a croissant, and a cigarette.

Breakfast on a cruise ship is interesting because of the international flavors and styles I find available.  We're often at some kind of Hilton in Europe because of "status" (upgrades), their breakfast is usually quite good but Americanized.  In Copenhagen, we stayed at a rather odd but interesting hotel downtown.  There was a 7 11 of all things across the street so I'd get croissants and coffee there and bring back to the room, the croissants were really good.  It's weird to see so many 7 11s in Denmark.  And KFCs and BKs.  We're taking over.
