Everyone wants kids to eat better.....but not everyone wants the government to pay for it.  You forgot that last part.  Kind of important, considering the topic is school lunches and not what kids eat at home.  You do that A LOT.  Just tweak the wording and focus of a simple, direct discussion to spew your slanted opinion and technically not be lying.

You should run for office.

The point... you missed.

The Government provides resources for parents to buy food, and most of the time they make poor choices. This has an effect on what kids will eat for a school-provided lunch.

Your point disappears if we'd spend more than $1.50 on school lunches, where the food is good enough to not provide any poor choices.

Our country is so great that highly-processed foods are the cheapest, so the poorest people buy it because it's all they can afford.  So that lack of nutrition helps keep them unhealthy, un-enriched, and dull, dumb, and poor.

But blame the poor.  You're really good at that.  You should run for office.

No, they are not. They are just easier.

Take a look at the ingredient list on Kraft Mac n' Cheese, and the cost for same.

Compare those things to making it homemade. Pasta, milk and cheese. Done. And you get five times more food.

But it's not a 10-minute process. So, processed wins.
