It'd be nice if political ads could only be what the candidate is for.  Hell, make it so they can't even mention the other candidate at all, save that for interviews only.

Yeah, yeah, freedom of speech and all that.
Well, I deem the negative ads as more destructive than yelling fire in a crowded theater, so....

The reported annualized CPI is 2.4%.  That isn't the same of course as the inflation we may experience out there.

Coupled with Trump's tax proposals of course is the Federal deficit, and debt, which are grave concerns to me.  Trump mouthed off about how he could pay off the DEBT in 8 years, which was another example of his silliness.  And he did nothing about it as President.  Now he claims he will reduce Federal spending by cutting the government employment, and I don't expect much from that either beyond some small steps for optics.

I'm not impressed by bluster and promises unkept, unkeepable really.

I don't know of a current politician I much like, there might be a few I have some respect for even if I disagree on policy positions.  I'd rather have one of those who I think has character and integrity than one with good policy positions who acts like a turd.

A major thing about being in office is compromise, to get much of anything done, you need to understand that concept, and be willing to practice it.

I'd like to see politicians follow through on at least a few things they promise during the campaign
or at least legitimately try and call out the folks that block their efforts

Perhaps we shall see a bit more of that now that the repubs have power in the house, senate, and white house
but, I doubt it

makes me feel like they really don't care about doing anything except being elected
