Gross Domestic Product, Third Quarter 2024 (Advance Estimate)
Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 2.8 percent in the third quarter of 2024 (table 1), according to the "advance" estimate released by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the second quarter, real GDP increased 3.0 percent.

The GDP estimate released today is based on source data that are incomplete or subject to further revision by the source agency (refer to “Source Data for the Advance Estimate” on page 2). The “second” estimate for the third quarter, based on more complete source data, will be released on November 27, 2024.

I had to get the poll worker involved to fix it, which took longer than it took to vote.

This has happened to other friends of mine around here, I came to find, before I voted. First time it ever happened to me, that I know of. I was paying close attention this time.

There were a few posts on "X" in the last week asserting this very thing, which were immediately dismissed by liberals as either fake news or propaganda.  They sincerely don't think their side can pull shenanigan's, but the other side can.

Take the “ sides” out of it for a minute.

It should be very concerning to everyone that any voter for any candidate could have their voting choices flipped to the opposite by a machine.  How is that possible?

Taking that conversation into blaming Trump is clearly blind ignorance and defensive bias.

I agree with AOC on approximately nothing but criticizing her for her personal finances is silly IMHO.  

I've said before that I believe Congressional salaries are too low.  Maintaining residences in NYC and DC costs a fortune and doing it on $174k/yr would be tight to say the least.  

I think it creates a terrible situation in which essentially all congresspeople are basically stuck with either:
  • They are independently wealthy, or
  • They are skimming/accepting favors/accepting bribes.

I'm not "blaming" Trump. I'm pointing out the very real attempts he made to steal the election. Almost certainly, Florida is not trying to rig the election for Democrats. So if even the appearance of doing so makes you feel violated, consider how it feels when you know someone did that.
