You're a dipshit.  I'm none of the things you say I am.  Rs are suggesting everything is as bad as it was 2-3 years ago, when a vast majority of it has improved.  They count on their base sticking with the outdated data they continue to spew.

I think this is a pretty fair summary, brief and not detailed, but it's intended for "less technical" readers I suspect.  Many here have discussed these topics of course and note that no economy has every single metric looking good that I can recall.  And there are signs things may be getting worse soonish (signs don't always result in tangible results).  But, partisans can assert that the economy is GREAT!  or DISASTER!, which is understood of course, some of us try and be more ... quantitative and less partisan.

What data is outdated, specifically? 

A major metric of our economy - maybe the biggest metric - is construction, and it's down just about everywhere.

And not just down a little. Down a lot. Specifically, why is that?

He really isn't smart enough to engage in this conversation, that is obvious by his resort to calling me a dipshit and telling me to eat a dick when I called him out on his factual misstatement.
