I wasn't referring to unemployment, I was referring to all of the government assistance one can get these days when they decide not to work. When my oldest daughter got married about 3 years ago, we were joking about how if both of them quit work, they could almost bring in the same amount of money from government assistance as they were making in their jobs. This was based on an article in the paper at the time that detailed all of the public assistance available to people in their position.

Uh , belittle everything else but don’t belittle the commercial space crewed program. It has been a resounding success, creating the worlds first truly reusable rocket and lowering the cost to space by many factors. 

Because of this and other NASA commercial investments , the US now dominates commercial space launch. 

But, feel free to belittle swamp creature and DEI champion Boeing and their commercial program.

A survey "crew" is now a "party" of one. GPS and robotic instruments have made this so.

Back in the day, when I was the "party chief" I carried the rodman duties. I wanted to be the one that knew what needed to be found. Anyone can press buttons on an instrument.

We rarely use tapes anymore. We use laser technology.
