It seemed to me like much ado over very little, but primarily I thought they completely misread their clientel, which is a huge marketing mistake. I guess they thought it would go largely unnoticed, which it would have done without social media.
I once asked why our commercials were SO boring and was told that was the intent, just put the name out there, over and over and over, and not offend anyone (hard to do these days).
We used to have the occasional commercial that was fun and entertaining, the frogs, the first Big Light commercials, Miller Lite, some camera commercial ... now I'm getting political ads on during the Braves game.
