Homicides are down because cops aren't doing their jobs?
Are you actually this dense?

Yes, Homicides in Chicago were down in 2022 and again in 2023 but that is a ridiculously low bar because homicides were so high in 2020 and 2021.
From 2012-2014 homicides in Chicago hovered around 445. Then Ferguson happened and as the anti-cop reaction to that spread North to Chicago, homicides spiked with an incremental increase of 300+ deaths in 2016 as compared to 2012-2014.
Fortunately that settled down and by 2019 Chicago's homicides were almost back down to 2012-2014 levels.
Then the evil a-holes that run the media decided to make a martyr out of a life-long criminal and addict who died with a lethal level of Fentanyl in his blood and homicides spiked again, this time to nearly double the 2012-2014 levels.
The reduction that you are celebrating here reduced 2023 homicides to a level of "only" 39% over 2012-2014 as compared to 60% over 2012-2014 in 2022, 81% over 2012-2014 in 2021, and 74% over 2012-2014 in 2020.
Two more reductions of that size and we'll be all the way back to where we were a dozen years ago.
So essentially your argument is:
"My side's policies are so lethal that they got an extra 1,872* people killed in Chicago over the last nine years but the worst is behind us and homicides are falling now so yay!"
*The 1,872 is total homicides each year from 2015-2023 less the 2012-2014 average of 443.67 so for example:
- 2020 homicides were 804 less the prior average of 443.67 is an extra 360.3 people killed due to asinine liberal policies.
