In 2016 I could not vote for Trump but I absolutely would not vote for Satan, I mean Clinton. I saw Trump as a huge narcisist that would say anything to get what he wanted. I honestly believed that he simply wanted to win the election so that he could be included in an exclusive group of people and that he would play along until he got bored and resign, leaving the office for his VP. I made it pretty clear what I thought of Trump and how I thought he would not work to keep any of his promises.
So on Election day, I held my nose and voted for Pence for VP, at least that is how I convinced myself to vote.
However, Trump surprised me and actually did work to keep some of his biggest promises, the most notible of which was nominating conservatives to the SCOTUS. He worked to get the US out of over seas conflicts and to not start others. He lowered taxes on ALL tax payers in spite of the lies the Left tells that only the rich got their taxes reduced. (I'm not rich and DID receive a significant tax break.) And contrary to what the Left will say, revenues into the treasury actually INCREASED after the tax cuts.
I say all of this to explain how JD Vance can be excused for saying things about Trump before 2017, but now supporting him. Sometimes, people surprise you and do things you never thought they would.
