Did it (not necessarily Trump, but the opening acts) remind anyone of this?

Harris was an identity politics DEI hire and a great insurance policy by Joe, and she's a major liability to the Dems right now. She'd fare even worse than Joe in an election imo. She is truly a moron in every sense of the word. Loved that primary debate back when Tulsi Gabbard destroyed her and derailed Kamala's campaign.

Anyone else following the Open in Scotland?

NBC is hard to watch. CBS' golf coverage blows them out of the water.

As far as the championship is concerned, man that is one brutal course. Unplayable for 99.999 percent of the people in this world.

Earlier this past week Jeff Tedford announced that he is stepping down as Fresno State’s head coach due to health reasons:

"It is with sad emotions that following my recent medical check-up, it is clear that due to health concerns, my family and I have made the decision to step aside as Fresno State's head coach and allow someone else to lead the football program."

To me Tedford’s legacy will always be his highly productive 11 seasons as the Cal Bears coach from 2002-2012. With backfields that included the likes of Aaron Rodgers, JJ Arrington, Marshawn Lynch, Justin Forsett, Kyle Boller, Jahvid Best, and Shane Vareen. Tedford’s tenure produced eight different 1,000-yard rushers; 9 of Tedford’s 11 seasons featured a RB amassing over 1,000 yards.

Tedford was 82-57 at Cal; his time coaching in Berkeley is the highpoint of Cal football during my time following the sport. Unfortunately when it came to conference championships, their decade of success came at a time when USC’s dynasty under Pete Carroll dominated the PAC 10.

His time in Berkeley, I think, was judged a little bit unfairly because of how well it started. His third team was his best with a future pro football Hall of Famer. But then the weird part was that even though he was nominally a quarterback guy, they never really Found one.

so through a lot of that time, there was just an aura of underachieving, despite the fact he had unprecedented success at a school, where every little bit of success should be seen as a surprise.

he was a generally good coach who worked at a time where the year in, year out stuff that he did wasn’t particularly appreciated. But between that and a very nice run in Fresno, it’s a hell of a career.
