Alex Baldwin gets charges dismissed based on, of all things, a Brady violation, as the prosecutors didn't tell the defense about live ammo rounds on set they had been given.

Does any of this impact the previous conviction?

I struggled to understand how Baldwin would be at fault here.  I know one SHOULD always check a firearm for live rounds, but do actors every do this?

There should never be live rounds anywhere around the set obviously.

Maybe they should use reproduction guns designed to accept only blanks or fake rounds.

There would be some expense of course, and you'd need to have versions for revolvers and semis, but it wouldn't  be that bad.  Make a revolver in 42.4 caliber.  Make blanks for that size.  Maybe you'd need machine guns for some movies and rifles.

How about maybe a stupid liberal anti-gun clown doesn't do movies where he has to fire something he knows nothing about?
