Trump was bashing NATO for not committing to the 2% spending goal and threatening to pull the US out and sh*t talking all of them to their faces in NATO summits/meetings and telling the Germans to their faces they are owned by Russia because you buy all of your energy from them and why are you doing this second pipeline yada yada yada. They laughed in his face. Turns out, he was right. 

yes the other EU countries have arms producers, but the majority of arms sold to those countries in NATO that buy arms buy them from...the US.

But that's always how Russian propaganda has worked.  They so tightly control what their own public hears and sees, that they don't realize how puerile their obvious fake propaganda comes across to people who are capable of thinking for themselves.

Can you explain this?

Abortion was a sort of political non-issue for decades since Roe. It was a SCOTUS determination so the only REAL fight was based on who would be President and appoint SCOTUS justices. The right promised to appoint people who would overturn Roe, while the left promised to appoint people who would uphold Roe. Beyond that, nothing happened at the Federal level and only battling around the margins occurred at the state level.

The Right got what they wanted, Roe was overturned, and now this is a political hot potato in MANY states. Isn't this what they were asking for? I don't understand how the left has weaponized it, other than potentially realizing it's a wedge issue that Republicans are going to lose on, so they're pushing it hard, likely for boosting turnout.

The tactic also is to claim "we" are being mislead by our media (which is a hoot in relative terms).  "They" see through all this propaganda and know what's REALLY afoot.

Then they of course call "us" stupid.  Often as not, what "they" purport is so absurd it can't be refuted, and isn't worth the effort.

a) US is one of the most propagandized nations in the entire world. it's astounding just how effective said propaganda is and how dumb Americans are. 

b) read manufacturing consent by Noam Chomsky. you might learn a thing or two about the nature of US media and propaganda. 

c) something like 5 major multi-billion dollar corporations own something like 90+% of all TV, radio, & print media. every single one of these corporations exist to maintain it's own power, serve power, and turn a profit- of course they will rarely if ever upset the apple cart and actually speak truth to power.

Both can be true.  The Russian troll-bots were certainly active then, as they are now.  

How much did it influence anyone?  Probably not much.  As I've pointed out here, Russian troll-bot tactics are largely immature and ineffective.
