I was a poor student long enough for being careful with money really sunk in.

My wife noted it would be nice to have a chef 3-4 times a week who shows up and fixes dinner.  I mentioned that is akin to dining out in a way.

I don't think I'd want a private jet really.   I suspect I'd spend a good bit of time seeking out worthy causes where I could make a difference, akin to funding scholarships for folks to learn a trade etc.

I can't imagine owning a bunch of homes across the world if I was a billionaire. Seems like the headaches of it might not be worth it. I'd probably have to employ someone to manage it all for me. I'd rather just stay in fancy hotels.

Plus, I usually want to travel widely, not just travel more. I suppose if I fell in love with a place that I just wanted to return to again and again, it might make sense. But even for a place that I loved (Italy), I would want to go ALL over Italy, not just return to one city over and over.

I'd probably stay here in Mission Viejo, but buy a nice big house on the lake. The only boat I'd need is a Duffy for tooling around...

You use the houses as your base, and as places to hide your money. Everything in Europe is accessible by rail, so getting around is easy. Plus, with all of the fantastic ingredients at your fingertips, you could make some great food.

The yacht, I would use as a mode to get me to Mexico, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Carribean islands. Not to mention New Orleans, Charleston, Savannah, etc. I'd have a hired captain for sure.

The plane could get me to climate meetings.

We got into this a little bit the other day, but I'm curious what a Trump Cabinet might look like should he regain the Presidency.

Last time he chose too many swamp rats. I don't think he makes that mistake again.

VP: My choice would be Tulsi Gabbard. Yeah, yeah, I know, but she is on record saying she'd do it. She is very much anti-war and anti-military industrial complex. Could she function as President? That's a big question. If not her, maybe Tim Scott, or an existing governor with name brand. Kristy Noam could have worked, but then she wrote a book. Oops.

Defense: I'd pick Ron DeSantis. Yale and Harvard grad. Navy Veteran. Leadership experience. Hard liner and anti-woke, which has become rampant in the military. Clean it up or kids won't join.

State: This is a tough one. You want someone with foreign experience, especially with Russia and China (not Hunter, heh). That is hard to come by with people outside of the swamp. Gotta think on that one. Not Nikki Haley. No F'g way. Gabbard could fit here nicely. Hmm.

AG: Alan Dershowitz. No-brainer, if he would do it. He would clean house at the DOJ. Maybe the Florida or Texas AG's?

Commerce: Vivek Ramaswami. No-brainer.

Surgeon General: Tom Mihaljevic, MD (CEO Cleveland Clinic).

That's it for now.

Edited to add Commerce and Surgeon General.

VP pick isn't that important.

AG is however. Need someone who stands on principal above all when it comes to the law. Don't really like Dershowitz politics or his insane loyalty/stance on Israel- but that is neither here nor there. I think he'd actually be a great pick for AG and actually you know- enforce the law and not weaponize it.

Trump wouldn't pick him and I'd doubt he'd even do it if picked, but I'd put Professor Jeffrey Sachs as Secretary of State if I was Trump. He needs a real expert in foreign policy & diplomacy, not a f**cking piece of sh*t who was the CEO of ExxonMobil and then a scumbag criminal who ran the CIA. You need, you know, people who have some actual experience in diplomacy.

his most important picks however will be the Secretary of defense and then the DNI, CIA, FBI directors. He needs to get people that are willing to stick their necks out even if it means risking their lives and reputations from the onslaught that will inevitably come from the inmates in the asylum- and just take a hatchet to the entire "defense" and "intelligence" apparatus and demolish it stud by stud cutting out the rot and then rebuilding it all completely.

He won't do any of this of course.

This is bad comedy.

If he could, he'd fill his cabinet with clones of himself.  Or clones of his daughter.  And there would be lots of cases of sexual harassment in that case.  :sign0065:

He'd obviously fill every position with an extreme sycophant and even still, replace half of them within a year.

It is, if Trump can't serve a full term. He could go senile (not that it matters these days), he could get impeached every day, he could die.

He's 78, so VP is a concern of mine for sure.

The professor is a nice idea for SoS.

Your thoughts on DeSantis for SoD?
