I figure if 1 or 2 or 4 former officials close to a politician revert and now say he's wonky, well, it happens, OK, probably sour grapes.

When it's 24, I start to think they might know him better than I do, and have a point.

How many books do you think DJT ever read in his life?  Two?  Three?
More than me, for sure.

he had who knows how many hundreds of people work for him in his administration. most if not all of those 24 cited are the exact swamp creatures he promised to drain. if they don't like him, well that's A OK in my book.

not sure. but he's had some really good ghost writers write a few books for him.

I often read 2-3 books in a single week.

I use this Libby app, it's great.

37 Pieces of Flair on Vimeo

I'm thinking if my server looked like Jennifer, how many pieces of flair would be pretty irrelevant, to me personally.  She could wear none at all.

She was definitely on "my list" for a very long time.

One thing that the Biden administration is a country mile better at is running the high levels of the administration. Not much turnover, leaks, and drama. The Trump Cabinet was rank with yes men, sycophants, neer-do-wells, and all the mentioned leaks, drama, and fighting through the media.
I'll agree with that part. Their policies are what I have issues with, but that has been the during most of my life.

I didn't think much would really happen that was lasting, just as I don't think Trump would change much if he's elected.  I know liberals are claiming it will end "democracy" etc.  I just have very little faith Trump understands how to get ANYTHING done.  He's about bluster and bold talk, in my view.
This should make him the perfect President fir a Libertarian like @betarhoalphadelta right?

Completely ineffective means nothing gets done, perfect?

You forgot about the "abolishing 3/4 to 7/8 of the federal government" part of Libertarianism.

We simply aren't going to eliminate large parts of government, it's not going to happen (short of the eventual major collapse).

It's sort of nice to muse about, but it's not remotely practicable.  I quit thinking about it as any "realistic" option decades ago.

We're also not going to balance the budget any time soon, if ever.

Department of Education would be my big cut, given the chance.

Many others could be trimmed, at a minimum.

Oddly enough it seems that people who have studied this suggest that the combination of a Republican Congress with a Democratic President is the best outcome for libertarians--barring actually electing libertarians, which'll never happen of course.

It creates the gridlock where Republicans in Congress don't want to give the President credit for literally ANYTHING, so they try to kill basically all legislation. Most legislation, of course, being somehow making the government do "more", i.e. growing government.

IMHO a huge reason that we got a government surplus in the late 90s, beyond obviously you know that whole "internet" thing, is that Republicans wouldn't pass legislation that Clinton would then be able to take credit for, so spending grew more slowly than GDP. I think a similar dynamic took place in the later Obama admin after Republcans regained control of Congress.

Well, if you can't get what you want, sometimes you have to settle for the best of what you can get [gridlock].

If that's the case, then expect spending to go through the roof.

Nothing a Republican Congress likes more than spending money their party's President can take credit for.
