(Preamble)

The Exclusive Moslem Nature of the Area:
----------------------------------------

'The  land  of  Palestine  is  an  Islamic  Waqf  [Holy  Possession]

consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgment Day. No  one

can renounce it or any part, or  abandon  it  or  any  part  of  it.'

(Article 11)

'Palestine is  an  Islamic  land...  Since  this  is  the  case,  the

Liberation of Palestine  is  an  individual  duty  for  every  Moslem

wherever he may be.' (Article 13)

The Call to Jihad:
------------------

'The day the enemies usurp part of Moslem  land,  Jihad  becomes  the

individual duty of every Moslem. In the face of the Jews' usurpation,

it is compulsory that the banner of Jihad be raised.' (Article 15)

yeah, no.

saying their days are numbered doesn't automatically = they will cease to exist as a state.
Dont you understand @Cincydawg words mean what he says they mean and not their actually meaning.

Which is why this will never end. Sure, obliterate Hamas. Another group will replace them in short order.

Well, I am pretty old and easily confused, so there is that.

And maybe I'm too literal at times, my brain "works" that way, to the extent it works at all.

Hamas was voted in to power by Palestinians in Gaza a while ago.  I'm not sure it's wrong to "conflate" the two groups.  Maybe some Palestinians don't like Hamas, I'm sure some don't, but most seem to, if the election was fair at all.  Obviously, Palestinians could in theory overthrow them with some other group perhaps less hostile to Israel and willing to work on some realistic two state solution.

I fear the time for that is past.  Meanwhile, Gaza is being basically leveled it would seem.

Whether their elections were fair or not, this is what happens when you use your own people as human shields.
Idk if the Palestinian people will realize this or not, or just 2-dimensionally blame Israel for it all, but it doesn't matter.

This whole thing is because of religion and its poison.

The US should enforce a no-state solution, where a 50-mile circle around Jerusalem belongs to nobody.  Sell it to Disney and call it "Holy Land."  If you want to visit, you'll do so as a tourist a buy a ticket.

And that idea is no more silly than the reality of the situation today.  Religion is embarrassing and costing lives because some people have to bicker and squabble about which is the best, wrong religion.  In 500 years, this aspect of humanity will be the least impressive bit.

Remember, today's Islam is simply Christianity with a 700 year delay.
I doubt any of you would want to live back in 1324, where we'd all be killed for saying the wrong thing.  And none of us with minds that work would want to be in that stagnant time for innovation.  But hey, you get a 13 year old wife out of it, so that makes it better, right?  :32:

Enforce?  How exactly?

Israel is a small country.  A 50 miles circle comprise much of it (and some of Jordan).

Oh, I know, you didn't mean "enforce" and you didn't mean a literal "50 mile circle".

Why do people pretend this about a state or two state solution.  Hamas and the Palestinians want to exterminate Jews and erase Israel from existence.  This is not complicated.  The idea that this only began in 1945 is completely illusory.
The only answer is probably a two- or three-state solution. All the other machinations are far less palatable/workable outside maybe an Arab mandate.

But if Hamas runs one of those states, they’ll live in squalor/some degree of oppression and get pounded to pieces every so often when they start something. Granted, the Arab world probably won’t like a Palestinian state peacefully coexisting with Israel. But in any end state, it’s probably Israel being what it is and 1-2 Palestinian states, probably authoritarians unless they get their shit together.

A problem is the West Bank is now "littered" with Jewish settlements.  This happened with intent of course.  Maybe that could be reversed in time, but it's going the other direction now.

i'm just presenting the case that none of this talk about state, two state, three state solutions is being advanced in good faith by Palestinians or the regimes representing them.    A substantial percentage of the region wants to wipe a certain group of people from the earth.       Their messaging is unambiguous, yet many don't seem to hear or believe it.      These are not rational actors.      Nothing i'm stating is in defense of or in support of the actions past or present as it relates to Israel.        I don't sign on to all of OAM's post earlier, but he's not off the mark.
