and if he's fired, who takes his spot

tougher to find decent cops to fill rosters these days than fast food workers

The LPD has been under a cloud of course, this isn't going to help their image, even if they fire this guy (which I think they can't do right at the moment).

I don't see any way the DA will want this to see any more "light of day" even in an arraignment.

"Defund the police" didn't help. Big cities are having trouble. Lots of cops have come into Florida from other states in recent years. I'd have to look up the numbers, but I think it's close to 10,000 since 2020. Florida is a law and order state, so cops like that.

body cams and cell phone videos didn't help either
the "bad" cops don't like to be held accountable
