A while back, I think most here agreed that a net worth of about $5 mil meant one was pretty wealthy.  It depends a lot on one's point in life of course.  A 30 year old making $250 K a year is doing quite well but his net worth might be quite small.

The old dream was to own your home by retirement age, sell it for a nice nest egg, buy something in FL and live on pension/SS and play golf.

That Port Royal place looks nice.  Think I'll buy it.

He killed 6 people.  How many more if he'd had a gun?  How many times more?
Unless others were carrying guns also in which case there are more people able to shoot back.

The hypotheticals are just that, IF he had a gun, yes, more might have been killed.  If someone else present had a gun, maybe fewer would have been killed.

But we live in a country where firearms are prevalent, and that isn't going to change no matter the hypotheticals.  I noticed the Administration is trying to close the so called gun show loophole, which basically is a fabrication that doesn't exist, but it SOUNDS good, to folks who never attended a gun show.

The new rules are so vague nobody will pay much attention to them, much less of course criminals.

Exactly. Having been to a few gun shows, I can say that there is no "gun show" loophole. Everyone selling guns at a gun show follow the same laws as they do elsewhere.

The discussion was about weapons and how to use them.  It fits.
