Israel kicks this shits torm up by attacking Iran. Israel then acts horrified and shocked and vows revenge when Iran ultimately responds- ineffectively I might add. Believe nearly every drone or missile was shot down. Iran leadership was backed into a corner, they were always going to respond to Israeli aggression. It was inevitable. The question is how would they respond.

Kind of like how Israel was backed into a corner and was always going to respond to Hamas aggression, huh?

Only with that, because Hamas uses their own people as human shields, the only inevitability was a lot of dead Palestinians.....because of Hamas.

Hamas actions are Iranian actions.  Iran started this portion of the conflict on October 7th when its proxy military organization went into Israel for a rape-and-murder festival.

The only thing new here is that Iran is finally acting openly rather than waging a shadow war through its proxies.  That is significant but it doesn't change the fact that Iran started it this time, back in October, using Hamas forces.

This pisses me off.  ESPN has done it for about the past year or so - intermingling men's and women's scores.  This isn't feminism, it's stupid.  All it does is cause double-takes.
It's just invented stupidity.

Kind of.

Artificially limiting your food variety based on what the clock says is pretty stupid, too.

Agree.  I eat eggs any time of day.  Why would I limit my egg intake to morning-time only?  Pure silliness.

IMO Iran acted stupidly with their ineffective broadside this past weekend.  It gave Israel the green light to do what needs to be done and shored up support for Israel in the US.

I think it may have been brilliant, launch a large attack they should have known would be defended, claim victory, and hope Israel lets it go.  There wasn't really much else available to them but an attack they knew would largely fail.

I don't know if it's "brilliant" because I think it was really Iran's only option, but it probably served its purpose.  Sure everyone in the West knows how futile the attack was, but nobody in Iran is going to hear the Western news.

If nothing else they forced Israel to spend up to a $1 billion shooting down a bunch of $3,000 drones and a handful of missiles.

I'd guess most drones were taken out by fighters with guns.  And, it was an excellent "system test".

Yup, I read an article that said fighters were mostly taking out the drones.

Made me wonder though, how do they do it?  Shouldn't fighter jets be a lot faster than these drones?  Do they just have to turn around a lot and make multiple runs?
