I'm guessing those are nice inside, too, and would remain when purchased.
Mar-a-Lago is likely very dated and probably tacky as shit and would be gutted or demolished by someone spending that much money. That knocks down the value considerably if that's the general consensus of the property.
That ignores the fact that it's Trump's, and may be kept intact due to his being a past president, etc.
Lol. Nah. Mar-A-Lago is
THE trophy property on
THE most exclusive real estate enclave in the entire country. The value is in the dirt, not the existing
64,000 sq ft home. And that home is actually the style in Palm Beach. The home has crazy history behind it as well, it was the brainchild of Post food heiress and was actually donated to the US gov't after her death and was used as a "winter white house" by US Presidents until the federal gov't returned it to the Post estate in the 80s and Trump was able to buy it from said estate for basically peanuts.
Trump sold a 90,000 sq ft home on like 2 acres on the ocean back in the mid 2000s for $90 million. The guy who bought that house tore it down and re-entitled the land and broke the 2 acres into 4 single family lots and sold each one of the lots for over $35 million. One of the lots was purchased by an heir to the Pulte fortune and homie built a 11,000 sq ft house on about 1/3rd acre which he sold for around
$125 million a couple years ago.
Wall Street titan Ken Griffin has been acquiring single family homes over the last 10 years on Palm Beach island and has spent about
$500 million just buying homes to tear down and do assemblage to build himself a massive private estate on Palm Beach island.
Mar-A-Lago is worth close to $1 billion. EASILY. The idea that the true market value = the county property appraiser tax assessment is completely and utterly asinine. In fact it's not even asinine....as Stephen A Smith would say....it's ASS-A-TEN.
