Yeah, I wouldn't have made that joke right out of the gate. But when you work alongside someone for a while, you get a pretty good read on their sense of humor. I knew she'd be amused by the absurdity of the request, and she was. Plus they don't ever really talk to each other. I wouldn't have said it if they were buddies.

If you don't believe today's youth is headed in the wrong direction, consider:

We have a freshman linebacker who had the flu last weekend (and somehow cleared to play??) and after throwing up shortly before game time told the coach he was worried he wouldn't play well because he was sick.  Kelly told him MJ had one of his greatest performances of all time having the flu and throwing up before the game.  We all know that story, obviously.    

Kid told Kelly "That's great, coach.  Who's MJ?"  

We are not raising our kids right.
