Where you go when the tornado sirens turn on.
Probably no good for earthquakes, eh?

Depends on the magnitude.  Anything 5.0 on the Richter Scale or less, it's probably still one of the safest places to be (especially due to less chance of broken glass).  When you get above 5.0 though, now you are getting into the area where there is a chance that you are receiving enough structural damage for a partial floor collapse.  At that point, a first floor bathroom door jam, bathtub, or even under a kitchen table is your likely best source of shelter.

I feel like this is incredible news and nobody really knows about it. The United States is dominating space thanks to private enterprise. And the gap is only going to get wider once starship comes online. It will be fully reusable and drop the cost to launch more and bigger cargo.

Leaving Monterey for wine country up north today.  Drove down to Big Sur yesterday.  Who knows what Sur means?

Easy one.

They have to do it. SX is so far ahead of the other commercial and govt launchers the economics are driving decisions now. Europe is developing the Arianne 6 rocket to secede the highly reliable and formerly economical Arianne 5. But it’s not reusable, and won’t be cheap enough.

The ESA was using the Soviet/Russian Soyuz rocket for their small launches and non-govt commercial launchers.
