Not sure. Peacock has been a massive failure for NBC. They've already tried strong arming people into getting it, and it hasn't worked. Live sports are like the one thing people actually still watch on tv. I don't think they'd be dumb enough to kill the last live tv cash cow they have.
Oh they'll still put the prime time games on NBC.  But I bet we'll see Ohio State - Youngstown State or some game like that on Peacock next year.

When UGA played Charleson Southern, I wanted to watch and it wasn't on anything, so I went down to a local sports bar.  They had UM-OSU on as well, and I was able to watch 4-5 games at the same time, which was cool.  They had a pretty good beer on special for $4.50 each and I had two, and then I ordered some wings for about $5, so with tip I was out under $20 and actually had a pretty good time.

If they go to much streaming crap, I'll just do that.
This was the same logic I used when I cut the cord many years ago. The monthly subscription cost for CATV then was around $60 and I figured that for the few times per month that I REALLY wanted it, it would be cheaper to go to a bar to watch and I get the added benefit of wings and beer.

I may have to reconsider soon. Back then I was single with no kids so running to a bar for a game was easy. I think you are retired and empty-nest so it is easy for you as well. Now I'm married and have three kids so I can't just skip out for 3.5 hours.

I had dined at this place once before and was unimpressed, it bar food, duh, but once I adjusted expectations it was fine.  Wings are wings.

I remember when they were a quarter each at places.

Like in 1941.

FACT OF THE DAY:

Cartooning in Japan began in the 12th century, and today more paper is used for comics than for toilet paper in that country.

they don't need toilet paper, they have the most incredible toilets on planet earth. Toto is a Japanese company and they make the best toilets on planet earth. Try out a Toto washlet toilet and it will change your life forever.

Still going to do it, but going to a bar to watch games you want to watch, but don't have the service ends up in the long run to be more expensive than just getting the services.  Between alcohol and food for even just me and my wife, it adds up quickly.  That said, we love to sit at a bar and converse with the people around us and just have a good time watching the games.
