So the value of the law state-by-state is.....solely to make those seeking an abortion to drive further?

If people have to drive to other states for abortions, Democrats might actually do something about gas prices.

Yes.

If you're passing such a law, you're doing it to make the thing harder to do. State by state accomplishes that. (There's also the weird brand of laws that punish people for going out of state to do so, which is a tangential convo)

This is a new level of brilliant. :57:

Wow.

So it's not actually about the ethics of the thing, it's just a petty "fuck you" to those who want to do something their state doesn't want them to do.

This is getting stupid now.

I offer a fair, middle-ground idea and it's met with "you can't do that" (we could, it would just be a unique situation) and pissy party-line crap.  Your heads are so far up your own asses that you shit on any idea that isn't radically political.

I have a novel concept.

If you're not married, don't want a kid, but want to have sex?

Use PROTECTION.
I'll give you one guess for the #1 reason protection isn't used.
Here's a hint:  a decades-long crusade against condom use, worldwide (even in AIDS-ridden countries!)

I didn't know anyone had mounted a crusade against condom use, I guess they weren't very effective at getting the word out.

Or, perhaps more likely, I'm not in tune with such things.

Next, let's just tell murderers to not do that.  And speeders to slow down.
Murderers = people having sex?

OK then.

There are certain religions that frown on birth control, but it didn't matter much. When my kids were in HS they could obtain free rubbers.

Was Fro talking about getting an abortion in the first person? :D

He gets online and picks fights to have someone to talk to.Don't think it registers when he has issues with 3 different posters in two pages it could be him. Shame he lives out where the buses don't run perhaps he could get the help he needs

The caricature of me you keep arguing with would be some sort of obscene nutjob.......but you've conjured it from your own mind.

Listen man, you asked why someone prefers it to the particular way. I answered the question. I am not advocating for one outcome over the other.

Having sex is against the law?

Not in this great country, it isn't.
