Our downstairs HVAC stopped two days ago.  It's two years old.  I flipped the safety switch and pull the panels and check the drip pan, it all seems fine.  The one upstairs stopped working because the drip pan clogged up and got full.  I clean out the lines as best I can and start it up again, and nothing, the thermostat was also now completely dead.  I check the breakers, no issue there.  So, I have to call my service guy who comes the next day and starts checking this and that with his multimeter.  The long and short, ha, is that the safety switch had gone bad, a $15 part, it looks like a light switch but handles 220v.

He checks everything and pronounces it fine and gets another switch and installs it and now it's all cool.  I think this is the fourth visit I've had not counting the ones where he replaced the entire unit two years ago.  He tells me he should have replaced the switch at that time but didn't think about it.

Owning a condo is a lot less work than a house obviously, but stuff still breaks.

you are saying this is just a bad PR stunt and really has no merit

why should Americans believe that when so many times in the past few months Biden has weaponized the justice systems to violate civil rights
To the first sentence, yes, yes I am. "Misinformation" is somewhat undefinable. They might poke some social media networks to do some stuff, which those networks can't do competently on a good day. They'll push some dumb counter programming. And if it doesn't simply disappear in 2.5 years, it'll be telling us everything on MSNBC is misinfo before we know it.

To the second, I've been somewhat busy of late, outside that letter, what are the many instances of justice system weaponization? Want to make sure I'm understanding that correctly.

there have been several cases of spying on American citizens including news media

the way those arrested for the Jan 6th protest have been treated is a travesty

Interesting Derby race despite little buzz.  No Baffert though he's slipped two horses here w other trainers.  I'm intrigued by the Japanese horse Crown Pride,  seems like a secret how good Japanese horse racing is, though mostly because it's closed to foreign horses.    Looks like another wet derby too.  Zandon, Crown Pride exacta, maybe Smile Happy and take them all across the board.  I haven't bet on a sport since UGA in CFP.     I am kicking myself for missing placing my annual 'under' bet on the Reds for the year.  That's been a ritual of mine. Damn vacation took me outside betting state lines.

Hmmm, sure. Because the stupid and pointless committee is housed within something that is generally quite bad, it must mean that this this is well thought out and going to be effective at … something I guess.

DHS also probably employs a very large janitorial staff. I bet that is the most badly intentioned janitorial staff I will find
this might be the single dumbest post I've ever read on this board. congrats.

this is the same logic spewed out by MSNBC

according to the White House this committee is for protecting the US from misinformation

you are saying this is just a bad PR stunt and really has no merit

why should Americans believe that when so many times in the past few months Biden has weaponized the justice systems to violate civil rights

ask parents who were labeled terrorists if we should believe there is nothing to fear here

disband this board then we can talk
he's a vote blue no matter who BlueAnon shitlib/libtard, do you really expect anything less from him?

One of my friends used to live at this corner. We hung out a lot in this area. Used to be really safe.

Yeah, it seemed to me back in the day Chicago was pretty safe north of downtown and downtown mostly.

It's the same in ATL, north is a lot safer than south.  The Buckhead folks have been getting alarmed at recent crime up that way too to the point of wanting to secede (which has been delayed if they do it at all).

The Chicago folks who can are generally leaving. Illinois probably loses another house seat, or two, in the next go-round.
