I don't think it's going to influence them.  I'm guessing the intent was alert Congress to codify something, which won't happen until the filibuster is gone.  And once again the party in power will make moves to consolidate that power, as though they'll never lose it, only to have it bite them in the ass when they don't.

well, there are already protests outside the court. those protests happened almost immediately. which- that's fine they have that right. Over 2/3rds of Americans agree with Roe v Wade- there is going to be a huge amount of outside public pressure now on them all- and all it will take is one to feel the pressure and change their mind to swing the decision the other way.

So as to motive I have not figured out how the dems would benefit from this

My gut feeling is that someone was very pro choice and felt desperate
