Washington Post is useful when they actually just stick to...you know...facts and reporting and not opinion and innuendo.

Here's a great article on rent increases throughout the US. Of the top 15 areas with highest % of increase in average monthly rent, Florida has an astonishing 11.

Gulf side is on a roll. It will never be as crowded as the East side, but things are nuts right now as far as construction goes.

One of my good clients is building homes like crazy over here. Almost makes me want to start a Florida office.

Almost.

Well now that Musk has purchased twitter the Biden administration is setting up a Ministry of Truth to police internet disinformation

This is amazing

Waiting to see just what they do and how they do it

This government effort will be the butt of jokes, and do almost nothing in the real world of any value.  We already have "fact checkers", a number of them, government efforts would be worse.

It will be interesting to see if this group is purely informational or if they actually will restrict free speech

and the hits just keep on coming

just like the brain dead morons "mandates"- this will never fly in the courts. Government can't police speech. There's this little thing called....the 1st amendment in the constitution.

I think they will just make a minor effort to be "fact checkers", until said minor effort is ignored widely and it disappears.  It's sop to worried libs, and not a very good one.

yeah, the federal gov't already does this. they claim things are fact- many times without showing a shred of evidence- and that's the official narrative and it's fact because why? Because they say so.

They have no need for a "fact checker" department- and not sure that's even legal.

It would be entirely legal for some part of the DoJ to issue some press release claiming this or that is false.

shitlib impression: "ElOn MuSk nO bUy TwTr....bIlLiOnArEs CaNt OwN MeDiA OmGmgMgMG...derp.....derppp!"

this is nothing to say of Sergey Brin and Larry Page who are both worth over $100 billy each and have special voting share control over Google. Or Mark Zuckerberg who is worth over $80 bills and has voting share control over Facebook. Or Brian Roberts who is worth $2 billion and has voting share control over Comcast (NBC).
