Two questions:

1. what kind of speech was capped at the legal aid society?
2. How does that jive with the fact that government employees enjoy immense speech protections?

(I actually forgot about the San Antonio chick Fil A case. Which seems like it shows some level of protection. That said, I doubt it’s actionable, owing to the sort of natural gaps in our legal system,  it it should be somewhat concurring if you believe in broad based freedom of speech that’s protected from the government)
Could not advocate for candidates as a firm.  Could not advocate for or against ballot initiatives.  Could not take on certain  types of cases.

Employees have protection as individuals but cannot advocate as an agency.

Any SM platform is going to have some kind of moderation.  Some could be surprised how little TWTR actually changes after some headline changes early on.

When conspiracy theorists falsely posted that Gates was paying to develop Covid vaccines to implant chips in people, Twitter down-ranked the content and added fact-check notices. If Musk were running Twitter then, would he have left those posts up to needle his nemesis?

The deal will give Musk enormous influence over politicians, celebrities and the media, with the ability to platform and de-platform them at will.
But some will have sway over him, too, in ways that could distort what the public sees on Twitter. For example, Twitter has no presence in China. Musk does: A huge chunk of Tesla’s growth is dependent on that country. What happens when Chinese officials tell him to remove content from Twitter that they find objectionable?
Back here in the U.S., Musk’s SpaceX business relies, in large part, on contracts with the Defense Department. His Tesla business is in discussions with the U.S. government about a national charging station infrastructure. His Boring Company, which digs tunnels, relies on governments for contracts. If a politician that controls the purse strings for any of Musk’s companies were to publish misinformation, would Musk remove it?
There are no answers to these questions just yet. But we will find out soon. Likely on Twitter.

Would anyone be surprised if he just simply kills Twitter, for the good of this country?

Something else would crop up to replace it aside from Trump's thing.

Yep.

If anything is clear through all this, the man really, really likes twitter. It could be his final act of masterful trolling, but I’d at least be surprised.

The man has built Tesla, SpaceX and a tunnel boring company. I would say that he knows quite a bit about making money. I will trust that he knows what he is doing in this case also.

So Jack Dorsey approves of Elon taking Twitter private.
Dorsey got his balls chopped off by Twitter's board. I'm sure he's thrilled that Elon is taking it private and will be firing everyone on said board.
