If by "they" you mean restaurants in general, I suspect "they" offer what "they" think the public wants, which often reflects tradition and how "we" were raised.

I have nothing against an omelet at night.  I've eaten cold pizza for breakfast, not by choice.

When I was working, I'd eat a breakfast bar for breakfast every day and then had lunch at 11.

Most taco trucks around here will make breakfast tacos all day long.  

But you don't see pizza places or Chinese restaurants open at 7 AM.  It really is kind of quirky, and something I hadn't thought much about until listening to folks complain here on this message board.

Nor do I, so long as it has sprouts, water chestnuts, carrots, onions, garlic and some kind of protein in it.

dude suspended parliament and instituted martial law, has violated every kind of basic right and put an entire country on military lockdown and is arresting peaceful protestors at gunpoint, freezing their bank accounts, and canceling their vehicle insurance simply to squash a peaceful protest. he should be in f**king prison.

Your friend is fortunate that he received a bail out. A lot of independent restaurants and small businesses did not. Yelp data was reporting that 60% of the restaurants that closed down temporarily during the pandemic are now closed forever. The fact that he was able to stay open- probably really saved his behind.

The PPP program was a pretty ineffective program at directing the money to what it was supposedly named after- (Paycheck Protection Program). About 75% of PPP funds went to the top 20% of income earners. Only roughly 25% went to workers who would have otherwise lost their jobs. Roughly 75% of PPP funds went directly to business owners, shareholders, creditors, and suppliers. 

A lot of money went to people who probably had no business receiving any loans. Just take Donald Trump's personal lawyer- Marc Kasowitz - his firm got a $10 million PPP loan. There were a lot of big businesses that got loans- got caught receiving those loans and then gave the money back. 1% of the borrowers got over 25% of the loans. The whole thing was a complete mess- but anything run by the government usually is. They don't do anything well. SBA had been trying to keep loan data private, it wasn't until FOIA lawsuits when a judge forced SBA to make everything public.

hyperbole, much lol? this whole sh*tshow with Ukraine wouldn't be happening if the West hadn't been trying to pull Ukraine into it's orbit and away from Russia's for well over a decade and a half now.

Western Europe is going to need to be on good terms with Russia so long as they buy up all their natural gas.
