Yeah, based on the ad alone, I would ignore the movie other than perhaps the cast.

Really bad ad.  Maybe that was after MASH and they wanted to capitalize on the antimilitary sentiments?

Has anyone had experience selling tickets to extremely highly sought-after events on the secondary market (Stubhub or equivalent)? 

Adele is coming for a Vegas residency, and my wife and I each [separately] signed up for eligibility for the presale. I think legitimate tickets will be expensive, but I expect with a limited run of this, tickets on the secondary market will go for a profit. 

I'm wondering how viable it is to buy 4 tickets, or 4 tickets each (if we qualify for the presale), and sell the 2 or 6 tickets we don't plan on using on the secondary market... 

I'm wondering if there's a good chance we can turn a profit, and even potentially pay for our own tickets based on the difference. 

Seems like a very good arbitrage opportunity...

Booked a back-to-back cruise on our last one we just did. Goes from Rome's port (Civitavecchia) to Lisbon, with overnight stops in Livorno, Monaco, Barcelona, Gibraltar and Lisbon. Then it goes from Lisbon, to Bermuda for an overnight, and then Fort Lauderdale. 24 days.

Gonna be a good one, in November 2023.

There are cruises that run from Italy to Spain along the Med coasts, and stop off for the Monaco Grand Prix.  I want to do that one day.

We did one out of Barcelona with NCL.  It was by far the best cruise we've ever done.  The cruises in Europe are nicer than those in the States in my experience.  Our concept is to do cruises and get a brief exposure to cities and decide if we want to return for a longer stay.  We're doing the Baltic, hopefully, in May.

NCL is fine with me for value.  I don't really need fancier and don't mind the size.

NCL's are too big. The ships we use are 700 people max. No Mickey Mouse or water slides, and no casinos.

The size is not a concern for me personally.  And I find the value to be good.  I have not noticed any violin chicks on cruises.  The casino action is pretty much a scam, I avoid it except to walk through.  

My buddy did a cruise from Argentina to South Africa he said was $15,000 for just him, they had a lot of naturalist/photography stuff, small ship etc.  He's the guy who just dropped $35 K on camera gear and is back from darkest Africa just last week.  No COVID.

One of the nicer things about the smaller ships is that they can dock where others can't. I'm not a fan of tendering into port, so that's a big thing for me.

They also can run faster, which means later stays and often many overnight stays.

He takes antimalaria drugs two weeks before going, HCQ in fact.  He goes to Africa pretty often.  He gets some incredible shots.
