Most of the terms on items in the store are trumped up marketing claims meaning nothing.

Some have specific definitions but most don't, and the specific definitions can have a lot of leeway.

Great book, huge facilities are used for "free range chicken".There are openings to the outside but like pavlovs dogs generations of chickens have been conditioned to feast at the trough occassionally moving to different locations but never running outside. This one organic farmer bought an old farmstead in Va. and scraped out an living. He made a chicken coup on a trailer so he could move it around so the birds would fertilize different areas. He would move around goats/cattle/sheep for the same reason.About once a months all hands would gather to butcher their actual free range chickens. He had an outdoor pavilion with cement floor and wooden tables spread out with different stations of the process. He had a well also with pumped fresh water. When butchering was done tables were rinsed,bleached/disinfected and rinsed again. They had Ice packed coolers and i believe a refridge truck from a near by grocer customer.

ANYWAY one day the state inspector happened by and inquired why the operation didn't have an exhaust fan - on a building wide open to the elements :41:
When the proprietor recovered his composure he explained how that process worx. The inspector evidently had to inquire with his boss to check compliance. All sort of red tape by rubes deputized by the government

And influenced by those in power in said industry.

I'll be down in Gainesville for the next few days, then back up to GA.

I had to deal with government refs several times in my job.  We had an OSHA inspector on site once I had to "manage" and he couldn't understand their rules.  He was on the phone with DC for about an hour.  He was only there because a disaffected contract worker in another part of our operation called us in for a violation but the dude didn't have the names of the chemicals right.  We ended up with some paper violations that I was tasked to fix, which meant reading the CFR.  Holy cow what a mess.

Even if you mean to do the right thing, you can't.  Parts of it ran afoul of state regulations, and other parts ran afoul of EEOC regulations dealing with pregnant women.

I can't treat a pregnant employee differently from a male.  I did anyway when I had one, but was subtle about it.

I came up with corrections and we passed our followup so I guess it was good.

You really can't write decent regulations with input from industry, that's where the expertise lies.

Personal best today. +9 over 18 holes (69 on par 60 course)... Have never had two birdies in a round before; I had three today.

Sometimes it's nice to feel like a real golfer out there...

New Pentagon report sheds little light on UFOs | TheHill

I often note how some new government investigation and report is due out X, and when it comes out, THUD.

I don't know the last time some report had anything real in it, meaning something that changed something of substance.

If there is highly secret UFO program replete with aliens and recovered flying saucers those running it are not going to drop their shorts after 74 years because some young pimply Senator from Florida said so.
A decade of Victory over Penn State.

All in since 1969

I would guess if this is some secret government program, they'd have a better cover story.

You have a good point but I do think the UFOs are of earth origin

and if thats the case some country has a huge advantage over the other powers
