Stetson Bennett Stats, News, Bio | ESPN

His overall completion percentage is 69.5%, so there could be something wonky about the earlier state on 10+ yards.

Would be good for this to happen (FL ports stepping up).

Shipping debacle will lead to increased prices long term, Florida Ports Council chair says | Fox News

Bring it.

"As the rest of the nation faces rampant inflation and businesses stare down unprecedented supply chain problems, our message is this: Florida is here, we have capacity, we have incentive packages to help businesses who want to move here and we are going to make sure Americans get their Christmas gifts this season," DeSantis said in a statement.

I'm not sure in what he said has much reality to it.  It might well be high sounding words with little of substance.

Would have to change the FL Constitution for that to happen. 2 terms max right now.

At what point do we begin to seriously consider giving California to Mexico?

Start paying drayage truckers and it might just help.

How much do you think they should make?

Going rate is about $30/hour right now.

Unless something is drastically different, drayage truckers were paid by the load, not the hour. And since intermodal terminals are so clogged, no movements no pay.

Quote
Drivers who dray ocean containers in the Midwest and South Central US are quitting in alarming numbers this year because rail terminal congestion has lowered their daily productivity and, in turn, their paychecks, according to trucking executives.
Although trucking companies have raised rates for drayage service and increased driver pay, it has not been enough to compensate drivers for completing fewer jobs per day. Drayage providers in Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Kansas City, and Memphis have seen as much as one-quarter of their drivers quit because of their decline in income.
Average local drayage driver pay has fallen about 20 percent this year compared with 2019 because drivers get paid per completed job — not per hour or per mile — according to trucking executives in Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City, and Memphis.

The last Port of Seattle survey of driver conditions in 2013 found that most drivers were working additional jobs to make ends meet.

And even if you did get hired on, why would you work with these kind of contracts?

I know I'm just confused and must be missing the post-apocalyptic hellscape that California has become...

...but rolling in the south Orange County sunshine on a late October afternoon in a Jeep with the top down and the tunes up is pretty awesome.
