WalletHub's Happiest States 2021

I don't think you can trust it though... They don't have Florida as #1 and the other 49 shitholes in a 49-way tie for 50th.

(I know the 49-way tie would be for 2nd, but shitholes can't be tied for 2nd. Artistic license.)
😂.  That shithole comment is so in your head.

By the way I wonder if they “ baked in” the effects of marijuana usage levels?

I wouldn't worry about it.

Your ears are too old to hear it anyway...
Between listening to loud music and old age, I have lost a good part of my upper range and really need to look at a person when they are talking to understand them a good part of the them.

Well, I've never voluntarily taken a buyoff to get off a flight until tonight. The Mrs and I are going to Denver in the morning instead of tonight, with two fat vouchers in our wallets.

I’ve never been lucky enough to have that option. I always price myself out of it. Salute to you

We've been able to do that a couple of times over the years, including giving up our seats from Maui to Chicago.

For that one, we were given first class, two days later. We were stranded in Maui, which was terrible, of course.

This flight was overbooked too. We thought about taking another round, but then thought better of it. I think everyone on this plane is going to the game.

A few friends are on the 6AM sodbuster out to Denver tomorrow morning. They're going to have a hard time getting to Boulder tomorrow in time.

I've done it a couple of times. Once I got a $500 airline voucher for giving up my seat for another flight 2 hours later. It expired in my laptop bag about a year later.

I was pretty amazed with Southwest. When the wife and I flew to Denver to see my mom a few weeks back, our flight out was cancelled and we ended up on a flight about 3 hours later.

Southwest emailed the next week with $100 vouchers for each of us for our troubles.

It's either good customer service or imploring us "please keep flying, anywhere, so we can make any money at all" lol...

Review of "Hamilton" by CD:

We went last night.  I wanted to leave after 5 minutes.  Most of it is rap music, in effect.  Some parts are "OK", but I could barely understand most of it and quit trying.  It's also 3 hours long.  They appear to have had diversity more on their mind when casting, the ONLY "white guy" was a silly character playing the King of Eng.  GW was Asian, most characters were black, Hamilton's whife was Asian.

I really have no clue why it's "A Thing" except every talks about it and talks it up.  Wasted time and money for me, but I never wanted to see it anyway.  My kids are in town and wanted to go, as did the wife.  One thought it was very good the other said "Interesting", which for her means "I didn't care for it."

"We" get hoodwinked a lot because something is popular, like needing toilet paper when COVID broke out.  Sheep.

If I could make my review more negative I would.

as I previously said I only made it 5 minutes before I turned it off

as OAM would say I wasnt the target audience

The Fox Theater seats 4,655 people and it was nearly full of mostly wealthy looking white folks, so I gather they must be the "target audience".  Those around me raved about how great it was as we left.

I get a sense it's socially unacceptable to think as I did.

That really is a magnificent venue.

I'm a bit of a buff for the history of the revolutionary period, and Alexander Hamilton is one of the most important and influential, and simultaneously one of the least well-known, founding fathers.

I thought it was a pretty entertaining story of his life, and mostly accurate, capturing quite a lot of the important history and conflict between Hamilton and Jefferson/Madison.

And the king's character was hilarious.

I got my money's worth.

I'd rather read a good biography.  I maybe understood a third of the words uttered to the point I quit trying to follow it.  I just tried to sleep.

I'd opine for me it tied the worst entertainment experience I've ever experienced.

My former wife wanted to go see some musical group back in the day in Cincy when we were married and I told her she could go, fine, I was not interested.  She bought tickets anyway, they were pricey at the time (with my credit card).  So, she convinced me to go, I was miserable, I snuck out as far away from the stage as possible and covered my ears.  At least it didn't last three hours.
