@Drew4UTk could you create each military seal and somehow adhere it to the center of a flag?  Or incorporate it in the center?  Is that doable? 

Or it could act as a wooden patch, with pinholes around the round edge to be sewn through?  Is that crazy?

The second part is doable.  I'd have to sublimate a flag for the former, so, in theory it's possible too but not near as fun.

just the insert is $150, and it's generally out of pine... 

i'll do this one for you, out of Sapele (solid), for $210.... ive made three of these for members of the forum, here... a USMC one, a navy one, a coast guard one, and one with an AF seal.

I might have asked already, but have you ever been to the WWII museum in New Orleans. If not, it's a must-go experience.

Sinke hole on exit ramp of Perimeter here, I use this ramp to get to Costco, but to turn left.  This is next to the baseball stadium, but the Braves are out of town.
