Yeah, I'm sure in Tijuana I can get "real" Cuban cigars... For two bucks a pop...

More than likely you're going to buy Dominican knockoffs that are sold as being real Cubans, and they're going to be $12/ea for cigars that would actually retail for $6/ea in California.

Well maybe. I haven't been to Mexico since the early 20-ots, and it was Playa Del Car or whatever it's called. They were 2 bucks a pop back then, but you are right. They might have been as authentic as the Bart Simpson t-shirt that said "I'm going to K-Mart, dude."

Eh. In California smoking is not allowed in most public spaces, so you shouldn't be exposed to cigar smoke unless you're in a cigar bar, and I'm assuming you don't go to places like that.

Beyond that, why does it impact you if they exist or not?

Eh. Here, smoking is allowed outdoors pretty much everywhere.  There are many times when I'd love to enjoy dining al fresco, but the smokers still foul the air with their putrid filth.  It carries, for hundreds of yards, easy.

I'm not telling you that you should, or should not, smoke.

I am saying I find it disgusting and it makes me want to vomit.  And I can smell it from hundreds of yards away.

a possible source of help for the school lunch program??????????????

https://thecounter.org/how-corporations-buy-and-sell-food-made-with-prison-labor/

The Counter identified over $40 million in transactions between private food companies, prisons, and prison industries since 2017, including sales to major food industry players like Cargill and the Dairy Farmers of America. Across the country, at least 650 correctional institutions have some sort of food processing, landscaping, or farming operation, according to research by sociologist Joshua Sbicca and feminist geographer-political ecologist Carrie Chennault at Colorado State University.

This article is the first of a three-part series on food production in the nation’s prisons and will focus on prison sales to private businesses. The next stories will focus on sales within the public sector and, then, working conditions and wages in prison jobs.

In Nevada you can still smoke inside, but most places ban cigars.

I don't tend to notice it much unless someone is smoking near me. But it does make your clothes stink.

Speaking of smoke, I saw a bunch of thick black smoke coming up from the downtown area. So I rode down there to see what was burning, and there were five houses on fire. Five.

One went up like a tiki torch, and there were 30mph winds that spread it to the others. It was in the old part of town where the houses are all pretty close together.

Fearless..... you need to put TPC sawgrass on your bucket list.  Spectacular.  Tee off for my round 2 in an hour.

Hit 17 in a nasty right to left hurting wind yesterday and made par.  The 3 others in my foursome all met watery endings.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.
