Looks like our trip to Europe is gonna be on!

EU finalizing plans to allow US tourists back this summer (msn.com)

We were supposed to go last summer-- Budapest, Croatia, Greece-- and it was canceled due to COVID of course.

I thought about rescheduling for this year, but even though travel in looks to be allowed for vaccinated Americans, I still don't think things will be back to normal enough.  So we're going to wait until 2022.

We are going to see our friends in Munich, then going to head to Lisbon with them for two nights before we board the ship to Miami. It will be normal enough for us.

For me a huge part of visiting foreign countries, is visiting their bars and restaurants.  I don't think that will be normal enough for me through 2021, although I will say that crowds will likely still be somewhat diminished, and there's something to be said for that.

I had a cousin in the Air Force that got hitched seven times. Never once learned his lesson. He just married every gal he dated, and then he'd get divorced a few years later.

He had a kid with his first wife, then he divorced her because she got knocked up by another guy. When that second kid was an adult he had a DNA test because he looked just like my cousin, and it turned out to be his kid all along. They became roommates for a while after that. The second wife made him get a vasectomy, and the fourth wife made him get it reversed so that they could have a kid together, which they did. Then he must have gotten another one because he burned through three more wives after that without knocking any of them up.

That's the most extreme case of stacking exes that I know of.

They're already getting pretty bad.  There are several constant-level lakes but they get really crowded when the larger reservoir lakes aren't full.

Most of our lakes are filled up, somehow some way.

The woman my dad's married to now had previously married the same guy twice.  I think he died the 2nd time, so only 1 divorce.

If I had a boring, quiet, mundane job in a cubicle somewhere, I may want marriage and kids and all that.  But I can't fathom coming home to it after a day with 25 kids.
I honestly think teachers who are parents are clinically insane.

I hear trips to India are pretty cheap this week.

Just when I think that I have fro pegged, I find out that he is capable of a selfless act.

He is to be commended for voluntarily removing himself from the genepool.

Sort of like self-imposed Darwinism.

Indeed.  Sort of like the best potential presidents have no interest in the job, right?

So I took a gander at the arrest records in a resort town that I will be staying at for a couple of nights, and it was mostly just the usual DUI/Pubic Intoxication type stuff. But they arrested this one guy from Las Vegas. Get a load of his charges.

  • Unlawful deposit of dead animal
  • Public urination/defication
  • Domestic battery by strangulation
  • Sexual assault
  • Robbery
  • Kidnapping, first degree
  • Domestic violence/substantial bodily harm

Now THAT is one helluva crime spree.
