I told you how to do it.

Let them make their own - part of home economics - with quality ingredients sourced from grocery stores who want to make a donation to kids in need.

Home economics would also include sewing, basic household repairs, managing a checkbook/finances, etc.
I wonder when that turn of phrase will phase out. I'm past 30, and I've never done it, nor do I have too much of an idea what it entails.

That said, I do thing that home econ style class is good, albeit I'd change the name.

What's a checkbook?  Or a billfold.

Hasn't this pandemic proven that restaurants aren't a great idea to pump money into?  Thin margins and more at the whim of the economics of the masses than most other enterprises?

On a good front my suburb seems primed to nullify the open container law for downtown. This is long overdue and makes it a lot organic to hang out downtown. So restaurants will definitely be getting more of my money.

Yup.
One teacher at my school sends out numerous, obnoxious emails about gathering money together to buy powerball tickets.  Most people put $5 in, including the principal.

I abstain.

I mean, I have a checkbook. It’s full of checks about 15 of which I write each year. The book it self seems to require minimal management.

Those things that you keep on either side of your coin purse.

Areas where the Federal government has had some success:

EPA - yes, maybe using means that weren't always efficient, but stuff is cleaner now
OSHA - well, improvement, I think, but the paperwork is ridiculous
IRS? - My dealings with them sorted out eventually in my favor, they at least were polite with me
SS & Medicare - pretty useful though obviously in financial straits

Areas where success has been less obvious:

DoEd
DoEnergy - I have a particular bone about the fuel ethanol thing
Military procurement
Patent and Trademark Office - what a mess
HUD
Interior
..... the list is pretty long here.

all I can say is Banks make errors all the time so if you dont manage your checkbook or something independent of online banking info you will not catch these errors should they happen

maybe youre the guy who simply looks at your balance and thinks looks ok to me

banks love that
